Carbon County Democratic Party Clubs

Freedom means the right of people to assemble, organize, and debate openly. - Hillary Clinton
This group was formed by and for forward-thinking Democrats who believe that reasonable men and women working together can find solutions to such pressing issues as health care, climate change, and unemployment. We believe that in a world of global corporations, giant agribusiness, and other monied interests, ordinary people, working cooperatively, can make a difference. CCDP looks at issues, legislation, and candidates at the local, state, and national levels. The members emphasize educating ourselves about current policy issues and what actions we can and should take.
The group has about 50 active members (and growing!) and a Facebook page with about 300 followers.
We welcome anyone who share our values and goals, no matter what your party affiliation. Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of September and October and January through May at the Democratic Information Center at 410 Center Avenue, Jim Thorpe, Pa.
We are a friendly group of Democrats who live primarily in the area covered by the Palmerton Area School District including Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing and Lower Towamensing Townships but welcome others who live in Carbon County.
We meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month, September - May with POTLUCK PICNIC, 3rd Sunday in July. Dues: $5/yr. due in January.
